This resonated BIG BIG BIG time. HUGE time. A couple of years ago, a very wise woman pointed out that I didn't need career advice, instead, I needed to dig deep and ask myself what I really wanted. And it turned out that what I really wanted was to throw a party in the forest. So I did, and a whole cascade of brilliant things happened afterwards. Recently I've felt similarly stuck in my job, but I tried it again, just doing the thing that I really wanted to do. Slowly and quietly I can feel things shifting. And I feel so happy to tell people about "what I'm up to".

(Sorry about the essay and loved the mini podcast! )

Never apologise for an essay! I love hearing these reflections. That's such a wonderful story! And I'm glad that you're using that strategy again... I think so much of this is about feeling proud /excited / energised about what we're spending time on.
